Quintus Beaumont

I regret not having been able to join this last party in Ocracoke. I was away on a secret mission at the other side of the continent (okay, I admit it: I was sleeping in my bunk, but only because for real I live in that part of the world were people do not party all night and sleep all day like our American Brethren seem to do. This all from my European time perspective, ofcourse.)

Nevertheless, I like to express that I consider the closing of Ocracoke Island as a big loss for the pirate community. It was very well built. Even more: it was a very well representatition of how Ocracoke must have looked in the time when no other than Blackbeard was living there. What will we get in return? Time will tell.

Adieu Ocracoke. You will be missed.
