Meanwhile, on the Island of Sanctum Sanctorum, eighty leagues due west by south of Sanchon, Longjohnson Swindlehurst stood by the cracking fire pondering his next move. The ruined castle of the Baron Grayson made a perfect hideout for the old seadog Swindlehurst. The accommodations were sumptuous by any man’s lights. He liked the fact that visitors naturally assumed he was the owner. Bit on the chilly side some nights, what with the bloody roof gone and all, he chuckled.

“YOU’LL PAY DOUBLE FOR THAT!” Sin Trenton’s Slovakian accent was thick with threat. The Navigator was beside himself with fury.

“Save yourself for the melee. She’s the a wily one.” Tiny cautioned.

As is the custom with the pirates of Sanchon, the sea battles culminate in on-shore hand-to-hand combat. The weapons, fitted with Fleet Admiral Chase Speculass’ fighting system, register saber and musket hits on bodies. (Read more...)

The Voyage

The rigging creaked as we made our way along, just off the coastline.  We had made port a few days ago to pick up Alexis, making our crew a total of 4 plus the 2 passengers.  It was also nice to have been paid in advance by Mr. 'Bwana Bill', as he liked to call himself.  As part of the
negotiation for the trip, we had offered up the Captain's Cabin to our wealthy passengers, while the crew and I took turns sleeping in the hold.

An odd thing happened on our trip down; I was awakened by young Darin, who was on lookout that night, to come above-deck.  (read more...)

Chpt. 1    Meetings

It's strange how some adventures begin.  At times it can be
very clear where the road will lead, other times lady luck
slaps you in the face and screams 'Look!'.  Hear my story,
how my greatest adventure came into being and how it ended.

We had pulled our freighter, the Alexis Anne, into harbor
for maintenance and repair.  Having weathered some bad winds
in SL, we had taken a beating and the crew were itching for
some shore leave.  Fate led us to Sanctuary Bay, just off
from the Sanctuary Sea, where we were to meet our next
clients; and not our usual clientele of gun-runners and smugglers!
